Rehabilitation of Brčko Port

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering to loan 10 million euro in order to finance a rehabilitation project of the port of Brčko. The location of the port is in north-eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the right side of Sava river waterway.

The project is expected to increase the volume of transshipment in the port of Brčko by 25%, which will have a positive impact on the economic development of the region, the Council of Ministers said in a statement following a session on Tuesday.
According to the statement of EBRD form last month, the loan is to be used for rehabilitation and upgrade of facilities at the port of Brčko and optimization of road and railway access to the port.

Contracting expected in 2017
Invitation for expression of interest is issued by EBRD on November 02 - to interested firms and groups of firms.  The assignment divided into two phases and first phase including tender document preparation and evaluation is expected to start in Q1 2017. Estimated cost for the assignment is 250 000 EUR.
