Tender announced for this year: Mostar - Široki Brijeg - Croatia

Construction of the highway Mostar - Široki Brijeg - Croatia represents importance for the infrastructure of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and will start in 2017. It is a road which would be located on the route Mostar - Siroki Brijeg - Grude - Zagvozd, and would connect Mostar junction to motorway on Corridor 5C with a Zagvozd junction on Dalmatina - the Adriatic-Ionian highway.

Start route Mostar-Siroki Brijeg-Croatian border which is 66 kilometers long represents the connection to Corridor 5C in the wider area of Mostar. Given that 'Strategy of transport' of BiH is adopted in July, some of the activities planned for 2016 could not be realized. After the adoption of the strategy, conditions for launching the procurement procedure of making general project of highway are created, according to the Federation Public Highways.

Implementation in 2017
The environmental assessment has been done as well as Traffic study and preliminary feasibility studies with a view to selecting fast road corridor for further elaboration. Tender procedure for the highway is expected this year and the implementation of the project will be in 2017.
