2 years for the construction

The bridge which is planned to be 640 meters long and 29 meters wide, will have three lanes. In April, Croatian builder Viadukt confirmed it has been awarded, in a tie-up with Bosnian peer Hering The value of the contract is 22.3 million euro. The deadline for the completion of construction works is two years. Under the contract, the tie-up will build a bridge over the river Sava between Bosnia and Croatia as well as the Svilaj-Odžak motorway section.
The project is financed through a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) with 42 percent and European funds for Croatia with 58 percent, as well as by EU grants to Bosnia and the country's own resources. The decision to build the bridge was made in 2010, but due to process manipulation two tenders have been canceled with the court wrangling and payment compensation.
