New road projects in FYRO Macedonia

International bid to build the second stage of the Prilep – Gradsko, a section of the A1 express way, has been made public in cooperation with the European Union. The road section forms part of the core national transportation network, part of the Pan-European Corridor X, branch Xd.
This 15-kilometer-long stretch is investment of an 80 million EUR. The project is divided in three sections, one is under construction, the second is now upcoming and the third will be completed in the coming years. By the end of this year the construction company will be selected and work can start in the first half of 2017 and the second stage of the road should be completed by 2019, said Macedonian Minister Vlado Misajlovski. While not a full highway, the express way would help link Pelagonija region to central Macedonia and the capital Skopje.

Open tender until 20th December
The scope of this project is construction of new expressway from Gradsko to interchange Drenovo, as part of road corridor X-d. The actual length of this section is 15,5 km. Works contract will include activities related to: construction of new carriageway, construction of 5 new viaducts with length from 70–200 m, 2 interchanges, 4 underpasses, 4 overpasses, several box and pipe culverts, dewatering and posting of traffic signs and road marking. The period of implementation of tasks under this contract is 730 calendar days from the commencement date.
